Andritz introduced the ME2500 filter press, completing its A4F and the SE series filter presses for the mining and minerals industry. The ME2500 is designed for the processing of tailings or mining concentrates like iron, copper, lead or zinc. The design, with an hourly capacity of up to 450 kg/m2 and a filtration area of up to 840 m², features chained plates for filter cake discharge. The closure system of the filter press uses electrical components, limiting the hydraulic oil needed, reduces cycle times, increasing capacity and operating availability.
All modules of the Andritz intelligent filter press, controlled by the Metris addIQ control system, are available for the ME2500 filter press, including smart sensors, data analytics and augmented reality for online safety monitoring of the plate package and moveable parts.
