Natasha Di Fiore is a researcher and consultant with Metaxi Simbiosys LLC. Those who know her would describe her as determined, ambitious, friendly and compassionate. Born in Massachusetts and raised by Italian parents, Natasha grew up speaking Italian and English while having an expanded understanding of culture beyond that which was inherent in her immediate surroundings. Her European heritage fueled her passion to better understand our world, including what makes it thrive but also what makes it crumble. Olaf Isele is the founder of Metàxi SimBioSys LLC – Fiber and Fabric R&D Consulting. Olaf got his MSc degree in Chemical Engineering at UW-Madison, and in Systems Theory at University of Stuttgart (Germany). He gained expertise in fibers, nonwovens and absorbent articles through 24 years of R&D work at Procter & Gamble’s baby and feminine care businesses by developing new materials with suppliers around the globe. Retired as Research Fellow from P&G in early 2018 and has consulted on several projects with small to large enterprises since then. Olaf founded Metaxi SimBioSys in 2018 and joined the team of Trace Femcare in 2021. He co-authored over 40 granted patents. Olaf has particular interest in developing sustainable fibers and fabrics, including natural materials, innovative fiber processing and additive manufacturing opportunities – especially in combination.
