Porvair Filtration Group announced a further expansion to its range of microfiltration products, launching five new Microcap capsule filters in sizes for small-to-medium industrial applications. The filters are used in industries including water, chemical processes and sanitary capsules for pharmaceutical manufacturing, with the extended range providing capsule and cartridge filters to support liquid and gas applications.
The expansion includes Microcap PES capsules that are hydrophilic, double-layers polyethersulfone membrane filters for sterile filtration in pharmaceutical applications, Microcap PPP capsules made with polypropylene microfiber media for pre-filtration, and Microcap GPP capsules made with polypropylene microfiber media for the removal or particulate contaminates. The Microcap PFE capsules, for the filtration of non-aqueous liquids, aggressive solvents and compressed gases, that are made with hydrophobic polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane and the Microcap PNY capsules made from nylon membrane for sterilizing grade filtration are also a part of the expanded line.
